Latest acquisition Lambretta TV175 Series 3

I bought myself a second Lambretta yesterday. It is in a charming original condition, the engine seems to have never touched, haven’t been ridden for the past 22 years at least.

I was last supposed to be put through the local MOT in 1988 but the data shows it never showed up.

Probably it had broke down and the owner didn’t succeed on fixing it. The register shows that it was put out of traffic use in september same year. The papers show it was living in Ronneby in the south of sweden.

The scooter is a Lambretta TV175 of 1962 year model. It is a very early production one with a frame number starting with 501XXX. It was put into traffic for the first time on may 1962.

It was repainted by some former owner without removing too much stuff except for tank, airbox, toolbox, engine, badges and others. Theres even paint on the flywheel.

The tires comes from the old tire factory in Värnamo Sweden.Värnamo tire

The engine is original and fairly untouched. It seems it was never opened since leaving the factory. It turns over fine and I figure I will have to replace worn out parts and definitely all rubbers that are hard stiff after all those years.Engine image

As mentioned earlier, allot of stuff got painted.Painted front forks

Although it was barely touched underneath, some rust shows through.Rusty underneath

Original rear badge.

Strangely enough the exhaust is mounted on the hole where the Engine Prop Stand goes.Exhaust
